On To The Championship Game

We played well enough to win. Particularly on the offensive side of the ball. Rodgers played very well, considering at the moment he runs like I do. Poorly. Lacy played well. Receivers had some drops, but also some passes that our guys couldn't catch with an extension ladder and oxygen masks.

We need to play better at Seattle. We still have Dom Capers as DC, so there is still time for us to get ready to get blown out...And buy shovels and quicklime.

Regarding the Dez Bryant controversy? I expect everyone agrees that the rule was applied correctly. If you don't like the rule, and honestly, I'm on the fence, complain to the NFL Rules Committee. Am I happy about it? Sure, I won't claim any hypocrisy, it was an enormous call. What I am not happy about:

The Dallas Wankers Cowboys have the almost the worst fair-weather fanbase in the country, nearly into Minnesota Vikings territory. Dallas had a good season, can't knock them for it, but all the fair-weather celebrities, sports pundits, and ass-kissers (Chris MommyIssues Christie!?!?!) have trotted back out their "football street cred" and enduring love for the Uglys. These peckernecks will now spend an entire off-season complaining about the Bryant call.

May I suggest to them -

Dear Nationwide Syphilitic Genitalias;
If the Cowboys are so damn good, why couldn't they hold an eight point lead, as opposed to praying for a call when they had gone down by 5 with four minutes left?
Please to be shutting yer pieholes,
Love, paleo

  1. Good for "you," I despise Dallas too.

Sorry the Peoples' Team has to lose to the Coastal Elites next wk. Should be good either way.

    Raiders fan M.B.

May you pick up Jay Cutler in the off-season.

    2. Raiders. I forget, who are they playing this week?

      Heh...

    3. You needn't pile on after I've admitted I'm powerless.

  2. If anyone can the the SeaChickens, it's the Packers. One more week of calf repair for Rodgers. I expect to see him sandbag the first quarter the way he did the first half in this game.

    1. Speaking of which, I understand Lacy went out for most of first half with an asthma attack. First I've heard he had asthma.

    2. That's not what McCarthy said, as far as I could hear. Sounds like they sat him for a bit after a lot of hard work in the first series, then never really had the call to put him in for a while.

    3. Huh. Looks like you heard right:

Of course, that's the Urinal-Sentinel, so the accuracy may be low. Or, it may just turn into a pro-Chris Christie diatribe. Hard to tell, these days, when they have been sold and are being chopped for parts and the ground beneath their building being salted and sold to the Bucks.

And they used to be a decent paper, even if they were categorically opposed to ever mentioning an architect in print unless there was a lawsuit pending....

    4. You guys seem to have a nightmarish local media. Belling is a monster as far as I know, and I always bought the JS for Packer coverage, but (according to dad) the editorial page is wall to wall FREEDUMB! Urk.

    5. JS was better when Joel McNally worked there. Basically, the Milwaukee Business Journal for hard news and the Shepherd for everything else. we stopped subscribing to the JS some time ago; a couple of years ago, they sponsored a 40th anniversary coffee table book of Summeriest. When I went to purchase it, the dude said it came with a free month of the Journal. I laughed at him. "Is there a discount if I don't take the paper? No? I don't care, it's worth it to me to NOT get that paper."

Well, it worked for them last week, so why not expect it again this week?

  4. With the loss of the Denver Mannings, I am hoping to troll that argumentative Peyton loving Denverite dipshit from LGM over to my "Being John Packervich" post....

    1. Shouldn't be hard>

"No, no, Denver is not the best team in the forever, and I never said that. Its just that every other team is worse."

I so need to destroy the Albatrosses and watch the front pagers at LGM melt down.

    2. My blood pressure is much lower since I stopped visiting LGM after the switched to requiring logins. I highly recommend it.

    3. LGM never aggravated me that way. Once I figured out that N__B was an asshole, and stopped engaging with actor...

    2. The writer made a great point, the NFL in all its wisdom would kill to have Dallas in the Super Bowl. Why in the hell would the NFL rig the game against Dallas, if they had to ability to rig it at all?
