Long Weekend Wrap-up

Camping at Split Rock, North Shore, MN. The lil' erection nubbins on the left is Split Rock Lighthouse. Perfect weather (while we were there, the in-laws caught 47 different degrees of hell the nights before we got there), we brought enough food and gear to invade Canada (or any other country with a reasonably sane government), needed it, but needed it a lot longer.

      Not here - tomorrow and this weekend in Itasca Natl Forest, NW MN. And it was amazing weather, perfect sleep weather too.

    Pretty! I'm going camping tomorrow. We were going to go up to the high Cascades for one last trip before the snows set in up there, but all of the camping in Nat'l Forests is shutdown do the the, uh, shutdown. Going to a state park at the coast instead. There will be beer. And chowder. And more beer.
